Overview
The app is meant to simplify the process of organizing park birthdays, The goal is to turn what can be an unpleasant and stressful experience into a easy and simple process. We focused on giving parents guidance and help at every step of the process, but not in an overly complicated way.
Ultimately, we wanted the process of planning a party in parks to focus only on enjoying time with family and creating nice memories, without having to deal with the stress and complexity of the organization itself.
Discover
We focused on understanding the challenges of organizing birthday parties in public parks by interviewing users, event planners, and officials. This led us to the main problems we had to solve:
Location selection, regulations, noise, and equipment transport.
Define
We identified essential features based on our research findings. Some of the solutions are simplifying park selection, managing permits, handling area reservations, matching entertainment to preferences, and ensuring supply coordination.
Design
In my design, I balanced a colorful yet minimalistic approach, incorporating subtle illustrations to reflect the fun of a kids' birthday party while keeping the interface clean and intuitive for parents.

To easily organize a fun, stress-free birthday party from start to finish and make her son happy.

The Challenge
One of the main challenges in designing Parkiesta was balancing the inherently joyful and child-oriented aesthetic expected for a children's party app with the need to simplify a potentially complex process for the primary users: the parents.
Our aim was to maintain the celebratory feel appropriate for birthday planning while ensuring the app effectively guided parents through the organizational aspects. Therefore, the design approach involved harmonizing playful visuals with intuitive navigation and a minimalist layout – achieving a festive yet uncluttered user experience.
